Foster and Adoption Resource Center Minimize

At every opportunity, the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition responds to gaps in services for local families with innovative programs designed to address the specific needs of the children and families we serve.

Over and over we have heard requests for a one-stop resource center for foster and adoptive families and youth - a community gathering place where families can access much-needed services like training, support groups, recruitment services, workshops, respite services, and more.  Finally, this center will become a reality!

The new space will be located at 1750 S. Brentwood, in the Joseph H. White Building (Click here for details on the building).  It will bring all the Coalition's programming under one roof, and will provide support and programming for more than 10,000 people each year!

Additionally, the new location will allow the Coalition to expand its programming to include 24-hour crisis management services and expanded recruitment services.  Along with the new Center, the Coaliton will introduce [re]FRESH: A Fashion Coalition, a larger resale center that will offer our families high-quality, low-cost clothing, generate income through sales to the general public, and offer job training and volunteer opportunities for youth.

The Coalition has kicked off a $700,000 building initiative to renovate the new space, and we are hopeful that foster and adoptive families and the community as a whole will partner with us to raise the funds necessary to open the Center as soon as possible
