Old Bags™ 2010 was held on Tuesday, April 27th at The Living World at the St. Louis Zoo to benefit  the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition.   Co-chaired by Susan Block and Jackie Olinger, who were joined by a committe of 40+ dedicated volunteers, Old Bags 2010 raised $90,000!  All proceeds are used to recruit foster and adoptive families for the 4,000+ children in Metro St. Louis who are waiting for a “forever family.” 

Guests were greeted at the door with a champagne cocktail and enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres while bidding on hundreds of designer handbags. There were a few "sharp elbows" as almost 350 women bid on gorgeous bags from designers like Louis Vuitton, Chanel,  Dolce & Gabanna, Tory Burch, Coach, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Christian Dior, Bottega Veneta, Kooba, Gucci, Cole Haan, Kate Spade, and so many more.  Exciting additions this year were special bags donated by Donatella Versace and her daughter Allegra.  They autographed each bag and shipped them directly to us from Milan!  Katy Perry, Carlos Santana, Reba McIntyre, Johnny Wujek, and Shannon Woodward also signed and donated bags!

Adam Goldberg, of the St. Louis Rams, was a great emcee for the evening, cajoling and encouraging the bidding!

Special thanks to Neiman Marcus for donating the beautiful new Gucci tote bag and perfume for the raffle.  The lucky winner was Debbie Chervitz who was thrilled to win such a stunning bag.

Thanks also to Lake Forest Confections for donating the wonderful assortment of delicious chocolates.  Everyone's sweet tooth was very satisfied.
