Help a Foster Family Minimize

Are you interested in providing support to a foster home in the St. Louis area?
  • PROVIDE A MEAL - Drop off a meal to help out the foster family.  These foster homes typically have between 5-12 children, and it's quite a task for the foster parents' to pull together a large family dinner every evening.  You can provide a meal one time or on a regular basis, and it can range from a casserole to a 5 course meal - whatever you wish!  Any help is appreciated.
  • COORDINATE A BIRTHDAY PARTY -  Help brighten the birthday of a child in foster care by sponsoring and planning his/her birthday party! Foster families get a limited amount of money from the State each month to pay for supporting a foster child. There's often no funds remaining to pay for special "extras" such as the child's birthday party or birthday presents.  You can sponsor and coordinate the foster child's birthday party, by communicating with the family to help choose the theme for the party, plan party activities, and provide treats and a present for the child. Typically, the cost of sponsoring the party is around $50. These foster homes are located in Manchester, Ferguson and South County.
