Mentors meet one-on-one with a foster child once every 1 to 2 weeks, being a positive role model and friend to the mentee.  Mentors will usually be matched with a teenager in foster care, and plan fun activities and outings with their mentee.  Volunteer mentors must be 21 years or older, pass a background screening, and be willing to make a 12 month minimum volunteer commitment.
