  • Real Life, Real Talk:  This program is designed to help caregivers raise sexually healthy and responsible children and to increase open and honest communication about sex.  Caregivers learn about adolescent development and behavior, and will be provided with the tools, understanding, and motivation to talk about and have a positive influence on healthy sexuality and relationships.  Public Health Program, Washington University.

  • Dangerous Combinations:  Energy drinks are very popular among today’s youth.  With names like Venom, Red Bull and Adrenaline Rush, energy drinks are being sold by the millions, and, they are marketed to young people.  Most of these drinks contain large doses of caffeine and other legal stimulants.  Although these drinks are legal, they can have negative effects by causing a decline in the body’s immune system.  This presentation will outline the power effects of these dangerous combinations.  Presented by Marilyn Bader, L.H.D.; MACSAPP, Nat’l Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse – St. Louis Area.

Kid's Curriculum:  We have lots of fun activities planned for the kids, including a carnival and trivia game, school supplies for the new school year and much more!  Citi financial education will be provided for all children ages 6 and older.

Childcare Lottery:  Space is limited to 200 adults and 100 children.
Registration forms must be received by October 10th to be included in the childcare lottery.  ALL requests for childcare received by October 10th will be placed into the same lottery pool.  Registration forms will be drawn at random until the 100 childcare slots are filled.  All families who register will be notified by mail.  If childcare is full, adults are still welcome to attend the workshops and receive 7.5 training hours.
