Amanda is in need of a family who will commit to her from the beginning and not waiver in their commitment as she tests them and ultimately settles down in learning to trust them. | Deontrae - A Place to Call Home

Deontrae (10) is a great little guy who would make an awesome addition to a loving family. He is very mannerable and polite, and has a smile that can brighten up a room. Deontrae enjoys drawing, reading, and sports (especially football and basketball). Deontrae is very smart and loves school. He states that math and writing are his best subjects. Deontrae said three things he likes about himself are that he is intelligent, that he excels at his school work, and is great at art. When he grows up, Deontrae said he wants to be a firefighter.
Deontrae does well with his peers and adults, and will do well in a home where there is love, patience, persistence, consistency, and time. Since Deontrae needs a lot of one on one attention, he would do best being the youngest or only child in a home. Deontrae is legally free for adoption. For more information, please call Sheila Suderwalla, Director of APTCH and Project Teen Plus at 800.FOSTER.3 x30. Photo courtesy of Sears Portrait Studio.

Ar’Mondre (11) is soft-spoken with warm brown eyes. He is initially shy around new people, but gradually becomes engaging and talkative. Ar’Mondre is artistic and creative, and likes to build things. His independence and sense of humor tend to make Ar’Mondre stand out in a group. Ar’Mondre is intensely loyal and he is protective of the people in his life, although his behavior does not always portray this. He enjoys cooking and baking, and his favorite fast food is McDonald’s. Ar’Mondre wants to be a police officer when he grows up.
Ar’Mondre has been in care for eight years. He longs for a loving family to call his own, and would do best in a two parent family with a strong male role model. | Janae, Jamahl, Keron, Willie, Kantriel - A Place to Call Home
Janae (10), Jamahl (10), Keron (15), Willie (13), and Kantriel (15) are a loving sibling group containing two sets of twins! Kantriel (upper middle), is just a few minutes older than his twin, Keron (upper right). Described as easygoing and laid back, Kantriel loves to read, and especially enjoys going to the library. Being the two oldest, Kantriel and Keron feel a special responsibility toward the younger children. Like his twin, Keron is a good student. In his spare time, he enjoys video games, riding bikes and going shopping. A responsible shopper, Keron is glad for the opportunity to do chores to earn money.
Willie (upper left), says that it is sometimes strange being the only one in the family without a twin. He is very affectionate with his brothers and sisters, and loves to play sports in his spare time, especially soccer, baseball, basketball and football. He describes himself as “handsome and good,” and looks forward to living in an adoptive home with his sister and three brothers.
The three oldest brothers are very protective of Janae (lower left) and Jamahl (lower right), and are willing to sacrifice to see that their needs are met. Janae is an outgoing and friendly girl with a bubbly personality, who loves to laugh and have fun. She enjoys reading, playing games, and “just being a kid.” Janae also likes fussing over her twin, Jamahl, and makes sure that he’s doing ok and not feeling sad. Jamahl is a happy, polite and well-mannered young man, who’s very talkative, especially about food! He loves to do most anything outside, such as riding bikes, swimming, and playing basketball.
These children are legally free for adoption, and are hoping for an adoptive home that can keep them all together.

Jervon (15) is a sweet, loving boy who has been waiting patiently for a forever family. This teen says that he “gets along with other people” and describes himself as “friendly.” Jervon’s foster parent agrees saying, “he makes good company.” Jervon is currently in the 10th grade, whereas he does not have a favorite subject, overall he does well in school with one on one attention. He is described as a “laid back” kid, although he does like being active. He enjoys activities such as swimming and basketball. He also enjoys dancing and singing. Like most teenagers, he loves playing video games.
Jervon would do well in any family as along as they provided him with love and consistency. He is legally free for adoption. For more information, contact Sheila Suderwalla, Director of Project Teen Plus and APTCH. Photo courtesy of Sears Portrait Studio.

Michael (11) is an intelligent, inquisitive soft spoken boy who desires a forever family. Although at first shy, Michael loves playing football and playing outside. Along with most boys his age, his other favorites are video games, watching sports on television, and cartoons. Michael enjoys new experiences like going to museums, or pottery. McDonald’s is one of his favorite picks; he especially loves a McFlurry for dessert.
