DESCRIPTION:\nThe DDP Parent Practice Lab will help caregivers better understand how trauma, attachment disruptions, and past experiences can affect a child’s emotions, relationships, and behavior. Throughout the five weeks, caregivers will learn and practice:\n\n\n\n\nUnderstanding blocked trust and the needs underneath challenging behaviors \n\n\n\nUsing PACE—Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy—to strengthen connection\n\n\n\nRecognizing signs of emotional dysregulation and supporting children with co-regulation \n\n\n\nResponding to shame, anger, rejection, and other trauma-related behaviors \n\n\n\nBalancing connection, boundaries, structure, and correction \n\n\n\nReflecting on caregiver stress and maintaining openness during difficult interactions \n\n\n\nBuilding opportunities for repair after conflict or disconnection \n\n\n\n\nThe lab is interactive and provides caregivers with practical strategies they can use during everyday parenting situations. Participants will also have opportunities to reflect, practice new responses, ask questions, and connect with other caregivers in a supportive environment.\n\n\n\n12 hours training credit\n\n\n\n\n
