HILTON ST. LOUIS FRONTENAC
The Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition held Hope in a Handbag on Thursday, April 26 at the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac. Over 300 guests raised nearly $145,000 at this designer handbag auction to find forever families for children in foster care. The event is led by a strong committee of women who share a love for children and handbags!
“For the past 12 years, our annual silent auction featuring hundreds of designer handbags has been known as the best girls’ night out in St. Louis and this year was no different,” exclaims Melanie Scheetz, Executive Director of Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition.
The evening featured delicious hors d’oeuvres, chocolates, bags and jewelry! Guests had the opportunity to bid on hundreds of new and gently-used designer handbags in the silent auction, instantly buy select bags, and participate in a jewelry pull donated by Kendra Scott. Once again Neiman Marcus donated a beautiful Gucci bag that served as this year’s raffle bag. The top bag of the night was a vintage Chanel that sold for $4,200!
