Tara and Lorenzo's Adoption Story

Tara (17) and Lorenzo (13) entered foster care in 2019 and moved through three placements before being featured on KSDK’s “A Place to Call Home.”

That’s when Dan and Carina felt an instant connection.

With support from their Extreme Recruiter, Genesis Elkin, the siblings quickly bonded with the family, moving in by summer 2024. On June 25, 2025, Tara and Lorenzo were officially adopted, gaining the stable, nurturing home they had been waiting for.
