What We Do for Kids

There are more than 4,500 children in foster care at any given time in the St. Louis area. When a child enters State custody, their cases are referred to a number of child welfare agencies. They turn to the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition for their most difficult cases.

The Coalition takes a hands-on approach to finding nurturing and supportive homes for children impacted by foster care. Our teams of dedicated specialists diligently search for each child’s best possible placement options, constructing intricate family trees for each child and truly leaving no stone unturned to ensure a wide array of safe, nurturing placement options.

Child-Specific Recruitment Caregiver Recruitment

Caregivers have the life-changing opportunity to care for a child(ren) in need of security, stability, and safety. We provide dedicated support to prospective caregivers on their journey to become licensed foster and adoptive parents.

We work diligently to find permanency for children who are looking for their forever family. As part of our intensive recruitment efforts, we partner with KSDK 5 On Your Side and Vantage Credit Union to bring “A Place to Call Home,” an award-winning program which shines a light on children who are legally free for adoption, to TV screens in St. Louis and across the country.
