What We Believe
The Coalition is a child welfare nonprofit that has been serving youth and families in the St. Louis region for over 35 years.
There are systemic gaps and barriers in permanency and stability for children and youth impacted by the child welfare system. The Coalition eliminates these gaps and barriers through innovative programming that facilitates healthy, culturally competent, safe, and nurturing homes and communities for children and youth.
Founded in 1989, the Coalition has emerged as an innovative national leader in foster care reform. It’s simple: our innovative approach works.

Mission, Vision, Values
The Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition creates permanency in the lives of children impacted by foster care by recruiting and supporting foster and adoptive families in the metropolitan St. Louis region.
Our Network
There are more than 4,500 children in foster care at any given time in the St. Louis area. When a child enters State custody, their cases are referred to a number of child welfare agencies. They turn to the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition for their most difficult cases.
