Little Wishes supported Cody’s first trip outside the home, and it was a transformational experience!
He attended church camp, which included three days and two nights of activities such as basketball, volleyball, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, lip synch battles, relay races, scavenger hunts and bonfires. Cody also grew as a leader as he assumed the responsibility of calling others to the altar at the end of service. This impressed everyone at the camp. He also made tons of friends, which was an amazing feat for him.
Before camp, he was extremely introverted and had not made meaningful connections to other youth. A common interest in music helped to form one of his new friendships, especially when Cody discovered that one of his new friends was a recording artist.
At the conclusion of the trip, he decided to join the church. Even more, he now serves on the media team at church, which is improving his audiovisual skills. Mom is so grateful for the experience, and she considers it to be a huge door opener for Cody.
