Board Member Spotlight: Brad Brown

For Brad Brown, Vice President & Executive Director at Contemporary Productions, serving on the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition’s Board is more than a title—it’s the opportunity to connect professional service with personal passion and lived experience.

Brad explains, “I have three adopted nieces and nephews. I love doing life with them and watching them mature into happy and healthy young adults.” Brad knows that organizations like the Coalition and our network of partner agencies make a difference in the lives of children impacted by foster care: children just like his nieces and nephews.

Brad was first introduced to the Coalition by his supervisor at a previous role, who was a foster and adoptive parent. Brad felt compelled to contribute more than a monetary donation to advance our mission. He contacted Melanie Scheetz, our Executive Director, to ask about our board. Melanie knew right away Brad was a perfect fit!

A mantra Brad lives by is: “You are what you do, not what you say,” and he’s ready to put this practice to work in his role on our board by making connections for our organization which will help bring in more support for our mission. In his time on our board, Brad looks forward to helping us achieve our goal of serving 100% of children impacted by foster care via innovative and impactful programming for all children and families, regardless of age or background. Brad says that “what makes the Coalition special is that we truly put the best interests of the children as the number one priority. No one is left behind—no one.”

Thank you, Brad, for making our community’s children a priority in your life as well!
