On Thursday, September 17, we had the joy of opening our doors and welcoming more than 200 guests to the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition for our Open House & Impact Hour event.
It was an evening filled with conversation, connection, and a closer look at what makes the Coalition’s work possible every day.
Guests explored our new forever home, connected with staff at program tables throughout the building, learned more about the services available to children and families impacted by foster care, and discovered new ways to get involved in our mission. From supporting older youth and strengthening kinship families to helping children find safe, lasting connections, each table offered a glimpse into the many ways our programs work together to meet families where they are and provide the individualized support they need.
One of the most meaningful parts of the evening was sharing a series of impact videos highlighting real stories from across the Coalition. These stories demonstrated something that is at the heart of our work: no one program works alone.
When a child or family needs support, collaboration across the Coalition connects them with the right resources at the right time. Seeing the connections come to life through the experiences of the children and families we serve is a powerful reminder of why this work matters.
