Program Overview

ReFresh is a nonprofit resale store in the St. Louis, Missouri area that offers fashionable clothing for people of all (adult) sizes and ages. The store’s primary goal is to raise funds for children impacted by foster care, ensuring they have access to all the essentials they need. ReFresh is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition.

The store’s inventory includes a vast selection of gently used designer clothing, shoes, and accessories (jewelry, scarves, belts, handbags) at affordable prices. ReFresh offers an inclusive shopping experience for all customers, regardless of their body size, gender identity, or age. By shopping at ReFresh, customers can feel good about supporting a worthy cause while looking and feeling great in their new outfits!

In addition to our dedicated store director and four co-managers, ReFresh runs on the passion and generosity of volunteers. From individuals and students to families, faith groups, civic organizations, and local businesses—our volunteers are the heart of everything we do.

Accepted Donations

  • We accept new or gently-used clothing from infants to adults: kid sizes (0 to 16 youth), men (S-4XL), women (XS-4XL), and shoes of all sizes.
  • We provide a free clothing closet for children and teens impacted by foster care. We graciously accept new or gently used hoodies, name brand t-shirts, leggings and athletic shoes.
  • Fabric items such as linens, bedding, curtains and worn clothing/shoes are recycled, generating funds to purchase new socks and underwear for kids of all ages.

How to Donate

You can drop off your clothing donations at ReFresh:
1710 S. Brentwood Blvd., Brentwood, MO 63144

Our business hours are:

  • Monday through Saturday: 10 am to 7 pm
  • Sunday: 12 to 5 pm

Please park in the top-level parking garage and bring your donations in through the front door, or call us at (314) 881-0331 and we will gladly help!

All donations are tax-deductible and you’ll receive a $5 ReFresh coupon when you donate.

Eligibility

ReFresh:

  • Children in foster care can qualify for up to $200 in free clothing every 6 months.
  • Foster/adoptive/guardianship families can receive a 30% discount.
  • To qualify for this program, you must bring proof of placement, such as a placement letter, court order, or the most recent maintenance check stub.

ReSource:

  • Children in foster care ages 0-12.
  • Just like ReFresh, you must bring proof of placement to qualify for up to 30 items of free clothing every 6 months.

What to Expect

ReFresh:

ReFresh offers a wide range of clothing options for foster children, with up to $200 in free clothing available every 6 months. To qualify for this program, you must bring proof of placement, such as a placement letter, court order, or the most recent maintenance check stub.  Our hours are convenient for busy families, with availability Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to call us at 314-881-0331.

ReSource:

ReSource is another excellent option for foster children, offering a selection of clothing for newborns all the way up to youth sizes 18/20. To take advantage of this program, fill out the inquiry form below to make an appointment. Just like ReFresh, you must bring proof of placement to qualify for up to 30 items of free clothing every 6 months.

Our mission is to create permanency in the lives of foster children by recruiting and supporting foster and adoptive families in the metro St. Louis region. We achieve this by raising funds through an inclusive resale store, providing children in foster care with the essentials they need. At the heart of our mission is our commitment to ensuring people of all ages and backgrounds have access to a welcoming shopping experience.
