Because of YOU, the room was filled with more than just beautiful handbags and spirited bidding. It was filled with hope!
Together, we raised $228,978 to support children impacted by foster care, helping provide safety, stability, and the resources needed for children to thrive.
From the excitement of the live auction to the energy of the room as bids went higher and higher, your presence made this night extraordinary. Every bid placed helped move a child closer to belonging.

Update Regarding the Coalition’s Funding
Your impact didn’t stop at the event. Thank you to the hundreds of supporters who reached out to your Missouri Representatives and Senators, encouraging them to restore the Coalition’s funding. As of 2021, approximately half of our agency’s budget is received from the State of Missouri; the remainder comes from generous individuals, foundations, and corporations.
Here’s a rundown of what happened:
- March 7th, 100% of the Coalition’s funding from Missouri was eliminated from the House budget.
- March 9th to 22nd, our families, donors, volunteers, and other supporters flooded their Representatives’ offices with phone calls and emails.
- March 23rd to 26th, the House Budget Committee restored 79% of the funding and was approved by the full House.
- March 27th to April 13th, once again, our families, donors, volunteers, and other supporters mobilized, inundating their Senators with calls and emails.
- April 14th, the Senate Appropriations Committee reinstated 100% of the Coalition’s funding.
Next steps:
- The full Senate must vote on the Appropriations Committee’s bill.
- Since the House and Senate made different decisions, the budget will go to a Conference Committee, which is a small group from each body that negotiates the final decision.
