Helping Youth Find Meaningful Careers

Our Older Youth Readiness team recently met with the Director of the Carpenter’s Union and learned about a unique opportunity for young people to explore careers in the trades.

Molly, an Older Youth Readiness Navigator with the Coalition, connected one of her youth to take part in a tour. The youth was reluctant to attend, having explored other career options that didn’t quite fit—but everything was about to change.

During the tour, something clicked. He saw the possibilities, felt the support, and left inspired by a clear, tangible path forward. He’ll soon be starting with the Carpenter’s Union!

Our Older Youth Readiness team is dedicated to meeting young people (ages 13–24) where they are, honoring their individual journeys, and opening doors that lead to meaningful careers. By creating access to high-quality opportunities and trusted mentors, we help youth not only imagine a successful adulthood—but build it!
