Events
At the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, the events we host are organized to serve our greatest cause: family. Every dollar donated goes directly to our support programs, inevitably uplifting the St. Louis community’s children and families impacted by the foster care system. While we love to have fun and commemorate our successes, our main goal is to be able to assist families for generations to come. By participating in our fundraising events, you are single-handedly contributing to our mission: For Every Child… A Place to Call Home!
In 2022, our agency raised a grand total of $749,299.00 from fundraising events alone – there’s always an upcoming event to participate in. Keep reading to see how you can get involved!

Foster Hope Day
Foster Hope Day is a fun, virtual day of giving to benefit children impacted by foster care and the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition. You can participate in Foster Hope Day by creating your own fundraising team, where you set your own goal that goes toward the coalition’s overall goal! This fun day also includes raffle prizes for those who donate a minimum of $10!

Journey Home™
Journey Home™ is a bus tour to experience the child welfare system from the perspective of a child and hear from the experts and families who help them find stability. This bus ride will change the way you see children, families, and professionals in the child welfare system.
The Journey Home™ experience is taking place on Monday, November 25, 2024.
Bites at The Big Top
Premiering in Spring 2023, Bites at The Big Top aims to unite the St. Louis community with food and fun! As you indulge in the best food and beverages our city has to offer, the central stage will be packed with action thanks to our partner performers at Circus Harmony! With the help of all of our fabulous partners, donors, and sponsors, our first Bites at The Big Top raised a total of $124,200.
This event occurs every other year – we hope you’ll join us on Thursday, April 24, 2025!

Give STL Day
Give STL Day is a 24-hour online giving event benefitting St. Louis and Illinois communities. This event is an annual giving movement connecting donors and dollars to nonprofits and their funding needs. As a St. Louis nonprofit, The Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition participates each year – in 2024, we raised $235,000! Thank you, STL!
Give STL Day takes place in May.
Junior Board Trivia Night
The annual Junior Board Trivia Night is a special night of trivia, food, and fun for the St. Louis community hosted by the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition’s Junior Board. All proceeds go right back to benefiting our kiddos! You can buy single tickets or tables for eight. Each year the Junior Board chooses a theme to decorate trivia night with (the theme for 2024 was Eras!). Guests are encouraged to bring table decorations to add their own spin and elevate the theme!
Junior Board Trivia Night will take place in June 2025.
Hope in a Handbag
Hundreds of fashionable people will gather to support the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition and enjoy drinks, yummy appetizers, and gourmet chocolates while bidding on gorgeous, designer handbags – what could be better?! To top it all off, all proceeds benefit children impacted by foster care. In 2024, Hope in a Handbag raised a smashing $189,808!
