About Jamaya

Meet Jamaya, a sweet, loving, and adventurous 8-year-old who is looking for her forever family! Jamaya is a very happy little girl who loves dancing, singing, and making others laugh.

With a strong will and a smile on her face, Jamaya is the embodiment of joy and determination. She doesn’t let anything stop her! Though Jamaya communicates differently than others, she knows how to advocate for what she needs. She loves to share her favorite phrases with her peers at school and her family at home.

Jamaya loves going to school, playing with touchscreens, and watching her favorite show, Gracie’s Corner. She loves to sing along, dance, and watch Gracie on all her adventures!

Jamaya would love to be part of a family that enjoys playing and spending time together. She thrives in her current foster home with her foster mom and siblings. Her favorite thing to do together is sing and dance. She loves to get out of her wheelchair to play on the floor with the family dog and her foster parents’ granddaughter, who is 3 years old.

Jamaya would thrive in a home that can support the growth of her cultural identity. A family with energy, excitement, and fun would best suit Jamaya’s bright personality. Due to her extensive medical history, Jamaya will require ongoing specialized care. Her forever family must be willing to learn how to meet her medical and behavioral needs.
