Thanks to a grant from the Children’s Division and the Area Resources Community and Human Services and the United Way of Greater St. Louis, the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition will host a Training Extravaganza on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Recieve 7.5 in-service training hours in one day (6.5 for Illinois residents).

Understanding Cultural & Intergenerational Trauma
Workshop Outcomes:

  • Significantly raise awareness of African American culture.
  • Consider cultural methods of healing for individuals, families and communities.
  • This workshop will feature a short film, audiovisual presentations, storytelling, small group discussions, handouts and references and round-robin conversations.

Training Extravaganza Childcare Lottery
Space is limited to 100 children

Children will play indoor and outdoor games, watch a movie, and school-age kids will receive a free backpack filled with school supplies.
Registration must be received by Monday, July 17th to be included in the childcare lottery. ALL requests for childcare received by July 17th will be placed into the same lottery pool. Registration forms will be randomly drawn until the 100 childcare slots are filled.
