What is a Lunch & Learn?

Once a month, the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition hosts a casual, virtual, one-hour presentation led by our Executive Director, Melanie Scheetz. We are excited about how our unique and innovative programs are changing the child welfare system, and we want to share our passion with the community. We promise to have you in and out within an hour!

What will I learn?

Attendees will get a 30,000 foot view of the foster care system, hear stories from youth in foster care, get an overview of the Coalition’s groundbreaking programs, and have a chance to ask questions. In addition to the basics, we’ll share our current work on:

• Our COVID-19 response and Coalition Careline
• 30 Days to Family® 1,000 children served milestone
• Our efforts to address racial disproportionality in the foster care system
